Longtime fans of Brady Quinn know that he is very competitive. His rationale is if you don’t have the ultimate goal of starting for an NFL team, what are you doing in the NFL? Makes sense, right? He backed up that mindset to The Score in Denver with Armstrong and Shapiro.

“That mindset never changes. I’m a quarterback in the NFL. I wanna play, I wanna start, I wanna have a long, successful career, and try to win a bunch of games and a bunch of Super Bowls here in Denver. That’s always your mindset. If it’s not your mindset you shouldn’t be on this team I know that much and you shouldn’t be on any other team in the NFL.”

Download the interview here.

Brady openly discussed the last 2 times he played the Broncos and his thoughts on the QB competition with CBS4 Denver.

Finally, Brady all set aside some time for his alma mater. He spoke with Irish Sports Report’s Weekday Sportsbeat. Listen below:

So, below are a couple of coverage bytes from Brady’s first meeting with the Denver area press. Also, I really like how he asked media members to introduce themselves before things got underway. Very professional. That’s our Brady!

Having spent 3 seasons looking at the Cleveland Browns’ official website and video offerings, I can tell you that I’m already liking the Denver Broncos’ website much more. The production quality of the video is clearly superior.

And one more time, I’d like to take some time to reiterate that this is a FAN BLOG, as is our Twitter account. We have added a lot of new followers since the trade, and just want to make sure everyone knows we are fans. The real Brady Quinn has not yet jumped into the Twitterverse. And, if he does, we’ll let everyone know!

…from special guest poster flyte44

I had a great opportunity to see Brady Quinn (again) at the preseason opener in Cleveland on August 7th, 2008. And even though it was not the best game: hour rain delay, my banner (signed by many players) destroyed, Brady not signing for the fans, Brett Favre usurping the Brown’s attention, and, oh yeah, we lost; I still came out of that game with an overwhelming admiration for Brady – if that is even more possible.

We all know Brady is a religious man. He grew up in a Christian family, and became closer with his Creator in high school as a member of a ministry called Young Life. His faith blossomed more as he attended Notre Dame.

“I’m at the point now where I’m still learning, still trying to figure out who I am as a man following in Christ’s footsteps,” he said at the Alive Festival early this summer. “We all need a savior, and we all need encouraging friends,” Quinn said.

Me, not a religious person in the strictest sense, I was moved at something Brady recently did at that opening game.

I had awesome seats. They are first row right next to the tunnel with nothing in front of me but green grass and players. I had a great view straight down the sideline and thankfully a camera with a powerful zoom. If you followed that game you know one of the Jets, tight end A.J. Schable took a powerful hit head to head against Cleveland offensive lineman Cliff Louis while trying to make a tackle. I heard the hit. It was that powerful. A hush fell across the entire stadium as EMTs and trainers rushed to his side on the field as he lay unmoving in a curled up position.

I admit I thought it was going to be just one of those quick, shake-it-off things, but Schable was on the field for over 12 minutes! And that was when I saw an exceptional thing.

Who was the *first person to walk out on the field*, take a knee, bow his head and pray for A.J.’s health? It was not Brett Favre or a Jet. It wasn’t the offensive line that was on the field when the accident occurred or the Brown’s defense. It was Brady.

I sat there with an unobstructed view as he walked out on the field, knelt, and bowed his head in silent prayer. Soon, with Brady’s silent leadership, the rest of the players on both sides joined in. I was overcome with respect and admiration for this man. I knew Brady was a pious individual, but seeing it in print and witnessing it first hand are two different things and it gave me goosebumps.

A.J. Schabel is ok. He gave a thumbs up when he was wheeled off the field on a stretcher, and I suppose I can get over my silly quarrel with Brady for not signing anything, but what I cannot get over is the sheer fact of how magnanimous that man truly is. Say what you will about his game (his time WILL COME) but in strength of character Brady is already MVP.

18-year-old high school senior Kristina Sliman is a big Cleveland Browns fan.

Kristina, who attends Amherst HS in Cleveland, suffers from cerebral palsy. On Thursday, she was able to go to Browns training camp and meet a number of Cleveland players.

The player she wanted to meet most, Brady Quinn.

Sliman, not only is a fan of the Browns, but also a personal fan of Quinn. She used to follow him when he was here at Notre Dame.

So she couldn’t contain her excitement when Quinn came up to her and gave her a big hug.

The two then shared a nice conversation.

Quinn said its one of the most touching moments he’s had since joining the Browns last season.

And you see, he does this all the time.

I need to keep my sanity so I can go crazy during the season, right? Right.

So, to sum up the past few days of camps:

Apparently Brady had a rough day Friday and threw some interceptions. You all know that no QB has ever thrown picks at a training camp before! EVER!

Brady brushed off that day’s performance, bounced back and hasn’t thrown an INT since

Sounds like the fans are doing a good job at keeping the players entertained during practice downtime

Even though he’s been a hot commodity since he was drafted, Brady is still getting used to his rockstar status

This post contains a little bit of press leading up to Wednesday’s kickoff of the Cleveland Browns 2008 Training Camp. Brady attended The Granted Wish Foundation’s Kick-Off Event in Canton tonight and revealed that he is in a great place, as opposed to last year, heading into training camp.

Gone are all the distractions that come with being a rookie. These included overall adjustments, contract disputes, and learning a new system.

This year, Brady can focus on connecting with his teammates and improving his game; something he works tirelessly towards. The sucess of the 2007 season has set the bar high, which Brady thinks is a good thing. The team will use that to continue to push itself to improve further. The Cleveland Browns want to play in the post-season this year!

BTW, I totally forgot to add the ESPY pictures to the gallery until now. Why? Because I’m a tool. Click here.
