If that is the case with Jim Rome, then he is a hypocrite as well.

I have a transcript of Jim Rome praising Brady Quinn and saying all good things about him when Brady first came into the NFL. Now peoples' opinions may change, but from someone who has a sports talk show, their credibility (if they had any that mattered to anyone to begin with) lessens greatly.

To put it simply, Jimmy boy is just jumping on the Bash Brady of the Week topic. Nothing like smashing up on a team that is already down. There's courage for ya! And yes, he does NOT know Brady at all and is using public opinion to write his show's scripts. Not at all what you would expect from a serious journalist with integrity.

But at least he knows when he is wrong because he opens with an apology to Mangini because Jim got the wrong information and said the last play came from the coach when Brady made that call. So now we can add he gets wrong information and doesn't check before he 'BURNS' someone publicly on the air.

You want something to burn? Try burning off that 70s porn-stache.

If you want to see how negative and venomous he is, watch it yourself. But frankly, I like to fill my days with much more pleasant things.

I really hate ESPN, in particular Jim Rome, who has a show each day at 4:30 PM called "Rome is Burning!" He completely trashed Brady for this accidental hit yesterday claiming that the hit was premeditated to get back at the Ravens for the interception! He also complained that this hit on Suggs interfered with his (Rome's) show because Suggs sometimes acts as a "guest correspondent" for him and this would put him out of commission and prevent him from his "correspondent duties!" Yeah, right! I'm sure he's up for an Emmy or maybe even a Pulitzer Prize!

Rome is a slimeball. He has probably never worn a jock strap in his life and thinks that he has the right to trash athletes' reputations just because he has a journalism degree from somewhere. He obviously doesn't know a thing about Brady or he would never have said the things he did in such a vicious manner; and believe me, it was vicious!

Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle from ESPN's "Sportsnation" were also ranting on about Brady and the overthrown long balls at the end of the Raven's game. Of course, did they hear his explanation that the receivers were covered and he wasn't about to loft the ball up there for another interception??? Of course not! Why should they do some honest reporting instead of going for the big laughs???

I guess I have to get used to this type of negative coverage as long as the Browns continue to founder. Please God, get this boy traded to another team at the end of this season!
Reply | <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('985','cathyang','I really hate ESPN, in particular Jim Rome, who has a show each day at 4:30 PM called \"Rome is Burning!\" He completely trashed Brady for this accidental hit yesterday claiming that the hit was premeditated to get back at the Ravens for the interception!
This is an excellent post! I wish that Brady weren't fined, either; he didn't deserve to be fined.

I agree: Brady should have been chosen as the sexiest man instead of Johnny Depp. Brady is smart, talented, kindhearted, handsome, driven, and conscientious: those qualities are the epitome of sexiness.
Reply | <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('984','magdolina12','This is an excellent post!
