Oh, gee whiz! I sure can’t wait for more!!!!!!!!
I love how he just sits there on the turf after he gets hit and pouts like someone took away his lollipop. “Man, I can’t believe how much I suck!” What a doof.
My favorite hit is still 8/18/08, featuring special guest Osi Umenyiora of the New York Giants.
Oh wow. Look at that.
MissBlitz’s favorite hit had the wrong date and now it is the correct date of 8/18/08
If only you knew the battle I have been waging with this site
Wow.this is the only positive thing about DA starting…we get to see more of this.
This is such a cool post.
I agree: these are the greatest hits of da.
I bet that more are going to happen today, too.
I stumbled across this *thing* and I had to sign up in disgust, even if my account ends up being deleted, to point out one small fact: Your board rules state to not come on here and bash Brady, yet it seems that some of you followers are spending an awful lot of time bashing DA here. Not even delving into a Quinn vs DA discussion -I mean come on, they both have sucked it up pretty badly. Save the fact that DA was lucky enough to deliver us a winning season (for which we spit in his face), they really are pretty equal in the means-justifies-the-ends sense of it all. Still, I am curious to know if this site will start to bash the starting QB of the next team that Brady serves the bench for?
All kidding aside, Quinn’s had a fair shot by now and I’d be careful to get caught calling the kettle black. And I must say: DA’s TD pass to Massaquoi this week vs Oakland was quite impressive, as seen from the upper Dawg Pound! Happy New Year and GO _BROWNS_!
Why would your account be deleted?
If you can intelligently argue your opinion of things, and not resort to writing disparaging comments, I see no reason for deletion. In fact I’d really like to see more Derek fans and have friendly banter. But be forewarned, many of the members are ardent Quinn supporters, not just tweens oogling Brady (although that is fine too). Some really know their football and can break down any argument against Brady effortlessly.
I do have to point out though, the name of this site is http://www.brady-quinn.org. It isn’t http://www.derek-anderson.org. I think many bash Derek out of simple frustration and perhaps envy because it isn’t Brady that was playing. I doubt you’ll do this, but look at other posts; there are plenty of times we are harshest on Brady and don’t sugar coat things. We point out his failings and know no matter how hard we or anyone chastise him; he is hardest on himself.
Pettiness aside, the board rules are meant to keep the dweebs away who just want to write things and run. I see you came from the Bleacher Report, just read comments on any pro-Quinn article there that hasn’t been deleted, and you’ll see.
Now your questions. This site is not going to deliberately bash anyone, but we do need an antagonist at times, and again, this is obviously a PRO Brady site. I think I speak for most members when I say we are Quinn fans first and foremost. Many of us wanted Brady TO be traded so he could get better coaching and better receivers. If that happened, I can assure you that the new team’s colors would replace the orange and brown you see. Brady first; Browns second. You’re a Dawg I presume, so I don’t know how you will digest that.
All things considered, I do think in a fair side by side comparison Derek and Brady are pretty even; both in success and failure. What I contend is Brady has much more positive potential we have not even seen yet. I think Derek has either dropped or plateaued in talent. Derek’s 19 yard TD pass to Massaquoi was great, as was Brady’s 11 yard TD pass to Massaquoi against the Chargers. (You aren’t going to quibble with the 8 yard difference are you? I mean I am NO athlete and I can throw that.)
But the most important MAIN criteria in which many of us believe about Brady is NOT football related. Most fans just debate about the football component and that’s ALL they can do. We follow Brady OFF the field as well and believe he is so desperately what the league needs – an effective, true role model. Derek is not this. He may not even want to be, but if you know Derek off the field as we know Brady, by all means educate us. I’m serious! I know Derek has done some charity work, golf tourneys, working for animal shelters, helping teammates causes, etc., but now, with a fair side by side comparison, Derek fails, Brady wins as well as all the charities.
And I am not parroting what most educated sportswriters say, but starting only 6 consecutive games is not enough criteria to gauge anyone fairly. You cannot begin to understand our collective frustration about this huge sticking point.
I think your stumbling onto this site was a good thing and hope I didn’t scare you off in a reply such as this. I doubt you will ever come back and read it, but hope you do. This site was created by a very talented web designer who lives in Columbus from the ground up, and there is an even more impressive message board underneathe. [I don't recommend you go there, but you are welcome to.] I think it is a great thing she did, for free, on her own time, for us true fans of Brady and even the fans of just the Browns organization. She’s makes websites for many US Olympians and it is my hope she, in some small way, helps Brady Quinn with his official site. We’re growing. Over 200,000 hits with a counter that was not added at the site’s inception. Around 500 daily, over a thousand when “major” news happens.
And if anything… Happy New Year and Go BRADY and the Browns. I will be routing for them to win next Sunday on the other side of the stadium in the front row seats next to the tunnel
PS: I would like to see the derogatory comments about anyone curtailed (I’m guilty of it most of all I think in regards to Derek) and just set up good dialouge. I’m willing to parley with anyone.
