Winslow: My choice would be Brady Quinn

Recently departed Cleveland Brown, Kellen Winslow Jr., has decided to give his opinion on the Quarterback situation of his previous team. Great, K2. It would have been a lot more helpful if you said all of this when you were here, along with catching that 4th down pass in the Denver game…
Nevertheless, K2 has taken time away from his busy schedule, that consists of not participating in Tampa Bay’s voluntary off-season workouts, to give his $.02 on Cleveland’s never ending QB situation.
“Just give (Quinn) a chance. He is a leader. He is coming into his own. I really don’t get what’s the hard decision up there. My choice would be Brady Quinn.”
GET OUT OF MY HEAD, K2!
No, but seriously, it’s obvious that Brady and Kellen had chemistry. He was often a favorite target in Brady’s limited action last season. Too bad most of the team’s wins came in games where K2 wasn’t playing.
“(Quinn) has tremendous upside. Very calm, very mature and, I mean, give the guy a chance. What’s the big deal? I really don’t get it. This guy is coming in … he has worked his tail off. I bet you he is there working out right now.”
Exactly what we’ve been preaching for years now…
“I love Derek Anderson. Great quarterback. It just didn’t work out.”

Even though I agree with everything he says (which is really creeping me out), I’m not sure his speaking out is helpful. I mean, it couldn’t hurt. But it’s not as if Mangini — who just traded him — is going to say: “You know what? That Kellen Winslow just might be on to something. The starting job is yours, Quinn!” They don’t care what a former player thinks.
Here’s to hoping Mangini and Kokinis eventually see things the same way!

I agree, too: I hope that this new front office names Our Brady as Starting Quarterback for the Browns… This needs to come to fruition very, very soon.
Actually, any one of us could have taken over K2′s body to give that interview. The things he said are what we’ve been screaming for a long time now!
I agree: What Kellen said in that interview are things that we’ve been saying for a long time.
It is like Kellen read our minds. 
I love Kellen Winslow for saying this! Maybe they’ll respect what he says since he actually played with Brady! but I kind of think the Browns don’t deserve Brady after trying to trade him…
Hope you are getting the color picker pallette ready to change these orange and brown colors; if all of these rumors keep heating up with trading Brady.

I agree, John: The trading rumor-mill has never been at such a fervor before. I just hope and pray that the Browns don’t trade Brady. Also, I hope that the Browns don’t trade Braylon.
It is what it is. Not gonna sweat it. I’m a Brady fan who liked the Browns because he was there. Should he find a home with another team, I will follow his career there. And chances are, that team will win more games and not jerk him around every season.
But for the time being, I’m not reporting any more rumors here. There’s a new one every day and it’s pointless to cover them all; especially since it’s just a bunch of blogs/papers/websites recycling the same tip with their own spin on it.
If Brady is the only QB the Browns are getting offers for, that should tell them where the value lies. I would want to keep the QB other teams covet, and get rid of the one that no one cares about. But maybe that’s just me! lol!
