Another Brady Quinn comic
by flyte44
Now that Brady got his birthday wish (and ours) it’s time for another comic. This is episode 7 of my, “It’s a Derek Life” series, entitled, “BRADY QUINN’S BLAME GAME.” As you may already know, Brady did a bang up job debuting as starting quarterback against the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, the Browns couldn’t pull off a win. OH, it wasn’t Brady’s fault, but you wouldn’t know that from his interview. They could have won the Super Bowl and Brady still would have criticized himself for not doing more. Of course this is nothing new - I found this in our own archives.
*Clicking on comic brings up the full-sized version. Previous and forthcoming episodes will be in the message board.

Awwwwww… LOL! Poor guy. Well, at least he got the last question right! Good stuff!
November 8th, 2008 at 5:09 pmActually, I think if he won the Super Bowl he’d be saying how it was all because of his teammates. Brady needs to stop being so hard on himself.
November 8th, 2008 at 6:31 pmThis is an excellent, Brady-themed installment of “It’s a Derek Life”. Brady shouldn’t blame himself for losing the game against the Broncos. It wasn’t his fault at all. He had a wonderful debut, and we are so proud of him! We love you, Brady!

November 8th, 2008 at 8:49 pm“Brady. McCain lost.” “I know, it’s my fault.” That’s my favorite panel, perfect with the inevitable facepalm. The comic really makes you feel for Brady because he more than did his job on Thursday night. Nice job!

I know it’s an exaggeration, but there is a lot of truth to it. Isn’t it refreshing to have a player who is “me first” when it comes to assigning blame?
November 11th, 2008 at 10:35 amGlad you liked it. It is nice to have players put themselves last for praise and first for punishment. From what I can ascertain, he’s always been like this. It does get a little tiring. Just once I’d like Brady to flip out and rip someone a new one. (Just once.) THAT would be human.
Never happen though.
November 11th, 2008 at 11:43 amI must be in the minority on this, but I don’t care for these comics at all. To me, it’s ridiculing him and making him look silly and foolish.
There are way too many jerks in the NFL to make fun of - Brady’s not one of them. You want to put a cape on him and have him save the Browns - I can go for that. But this makes him look a weak and pathetic. He deserves more than that from his fans IMO.
