In Thee Face!
I probably aged myself with this post title, but I don’t care. This goes out to all of the haters who ragged on Brady when his Subway commercial first started airing.
These people, who thought they were oh-so-clever, countered the commercial with the now overused “Busy? Yea, busy holding the clipboard!” comment. Well, Brady hits back with the following nugget from a new Cleveland Plain Dealer piece:
“The third-string quarterback, Ken Dorsey, holds the clipboard [on the sideline] anyway. I don’t.”
So, put that in your pipe and smoke it!
Actually, fans should read the full column by Bill Livingston. It won’t make you bang your head against the wall like much of the recent Brady press has.
Also, Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads out there. I’m going to take mine out to dinner. Enjoy your day!

Bill Livingston is officially my hero for the weekend. It IS a rarity to find something written about Brady these days that doesn’t make me want to tear my hair out. And not only does this article not make me want to do that, but it also says much of exactly what I’d been thinking for a long time now! It’s enough to restore my faith in sports journalism… at least until all the dumb writers start spouting off again.
June 15th, 2008 at 5:02 pmAnd I was happy to give my two-cents in a commentary. It was a little “saucy” of Brady to mention Dorsey like that, but good for him! LOL bout time the boy grew a pair. It will help him to be just a bit more forceful in wanting the position instead of waiting for the position. he has the fire and drive. but if you don’t actually singe a few people they aren’t going to care.

June 16th, 2008 at 2:17 pmThis is off-topic, but I read a Brady reference in this blog and wanted to share it. The blog is about a Raven’s tackle and it says that he ‘only managed 15 reps of 225 during his Pro Day workout (Brady Quinn, by comparison, does 15 as part of his pre-warmup routine).’
