Week 17: Cleveland Browns vs. San Francisco 49ers
Allrighty. Everything comes down to this game!
That’s what I would probably have written, and believed, if this were a Tennessee Titans site. Their game against the Indianapolis Colts is do or die for both theirs and the Browns’ playoff chances. The Browns home finale against the 49ers? Yea, not so much.
Yes, the game counts just like all of the others, but it doesn’t have much of an impact for the Browns as they hope for a wildcard playoff berth. I already broke down what needs to happen in order for the Browns to continue their season into 2008. In short, the Colts must beat the Titans.
As a team hoping to play in the post-season, a nice and solid victory in the regular season finale would be great. Not just for morale, but also for preparation, so I approve of Coach Crennel’s stance to do whatever needs to be done to help the team to victory. But while I want the team to win, I’d still like to see #10 take the field. I don’t think he needs to start or take the majority of the snaps. It would just be nice to see as long as the move didn’t prove to be costly. (e.g. injury, loss of game)
We’ll just have to sit back and see!
The Browns/49ers match-up takes place at 1PM (ET) and will air on FOX instead of CBS. So be sure to check your local listings to see if the game will be shown in your area.
Naturally, the Colts/Titans game has a late kickoff (8:15 PM), because the league likes to torture Browns fans. So we will have to be patient to find out if the Browns are playoffs-bound.
Go Browns and go Colts! ![]()

I don’t get to see it. So, of course, given my luck, that means Brady will probably see a little bit of playing time and I’ll miss it.:-P LOL!

December 30th, 2007 at 5:54 pmI didn’t get to see him…but I will when I get home. Mom tapped it for me..MUAHAHAHA!!! ^.^ I was listening to it on my dad’s Sirus radio thing. I was screaming and jumping up and down and saying “Go baby go!” When he was on, and throwing the balls. But apparently Kellen and Braylon can’t catch them…but oh well they tried, right? Can’t wait to see the game on the TV!!!
