At this point in the season, every game has playoff implications and this week’s matchup with the Buffalo Bills is no different!

Both the Bills and the Browns are playing for a wildcard playoff berth, with the Bills currently trailing the Browns by a game. While their overall records are close, one can’t help but notice that 2 of their wins are against the 0-13 Dolphins and another 2 against the 3-10 Jets (who the Browns defeated last week).

All records aside, we should expect another hard fought game at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Not just because both teams are playing for the chance to advance to the post-season, but also because the weather will be a X-factor. If you take a page from the NCAA season where teams often did not control their destiny, in terms of how they finished and were selected to Bowl Games, this little nugget from the Chronicle-Telegram might put the importance of this game into perspective:

The Browns (8-5) will return to the postseason for the first time since 2002 if they beat the Bills (7-6), and the Chiefs (4-9) beat the Titans (7-6) on Sunday.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m ready for another Browns win and a charge into the playoffs! Catch the game on CBS (in select markets) starting at 1PM (ET).
