Browns Continue to Impress, Defeat Texans 27-17

The Cleveland Browns recorded their 7th win of the season with a 27-17 victory over the visiting Houston Texans. The win (and Tennessee’s loss to the Bengals) places the team in the driver’s seat in terms of securing a playoff berth.

QB Derek Anderson threw 2 TD passes and running back Jamal Lewis contributed another on the ground as the Browns easily handled the Texans, who weren’t able to get enough going to push Cleveland.

As pointed out in the previous post, the Browns needed to protect the ball and not turn it over; they did just that, while also capitalizing on the Texans’ turnovers.

Next week the team will travel west to take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Drat. No playing time for Brady and with Derek Anderson doing so well there was hardly any sideline pics of Brady. I did manage to catch a few glances and saw he was wearing the new Browns knitted cap. Tha is on my Christmas list.

I’m at a point where I’m grateful for any sort of glimpse I can get of Brady on the sideline, if I can even get the game at all. (I’m in SW Michigan, so I don’t always get to see the Browns games…) After 4 years of getting to see him all the time when he was at ND, this is hard for me! LOL!

I hear ya crystalball. I was lucky to get the Texan game. I always watch NFL.com live play by play, or listen and watch ESPN / Sirius on tv. Hey, it works. LOL
