Browns top ‘Phins, Now 3-3
The Cleveland Browns took advantage of playing on their home field and came out with a win over the Miami Dolphins 41-31.
The Browns dominated early on, going into halftime with a comfortable 27-10 lead. Then Cleo Lemon led the Dolphins to 2 back-to-back scores to pull within 3 of the Browns. It was the closest the Dolphins would get as the Browns engineered 2 more TD-scoring drives (to Miami’s 1) to seal the win.
Braylon Edwards’ 3 touchdown receptions were a big positive for the team. Also, in Jamal Lewis’ absense, Jason Wright and Jerome Harrison stepped up and were effective for the Browns. Derek Anderson played a smart and clean game throwing for 3 scores, running for another on his own, and not turning the ball over to the Dolphins.
As a result, Brady Quinn remained on the sidelines.
