Browns down Ravens 27-13

The Cleveland Browns easily topped their AFC division rival Baltimore Ravens with a final tally of 27-13. The story of this weekend’s performance was the improvement of both the offense and defense.

QB Derek Anderson had 2 touchdown passes (1 INT), while tailback Jamal Lewis carried the ball 23 times for 64 yds and 1 touchdown against his former team. The wide receiving corps turned in impressive performances as well, led by Braylon Edwards Kellen Winslow.

As indicated earlier this week Romeo Crennel rotated fresh and healthy bodies through the defensive line, and that appears to have worked for the Browns, holding the Ravens to just 13 points and pressuring QB Steve McNair throughout the game.

Brady Quinn did not see any action again this week, but with Derek Anderson taking care of the ball and leading the offense to multiple scores, he was not needed. And that is a good thing!

Good division win for the Browns who are now in 2nd place behind the Steelers.
