Oakland’s Kiffin Praises Quinn

Ahead of this weekend’s match-up out west, Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin had nothing but praise for Brady Quinn.

Before this year’s draft, Brady made a trip out to Oakland to work out with the team. He indicated that the team researched him a lot. “I think the world of Brady. I think he’s going to be a great quarterback, and I loved who he was. I loved getting to know him.” the coach recalled during a conference call with Cleveland media today.

The acclaim continued as he looked back to Brady’s performance (with Notre Dame) against USC, as he was part of the Trojan coaching staff at the time. “He was so competitive. His preparation is off the charts.” Quinn’s work ethic has impressed many throughout his carreer. He’s the “first one in and last one out” as Kiffin put it.

Add Lane Kiffin to the list of Brady Quinn believers. He feels the gamble the Browns took in order to get back into the first round and acquire Quinn was a good move. “It’s going to pay off. I think you guys got yourself a franchise quarterback.”
