Dorsey Returns, More QB Changes Coming?

After the Browns’ embarrassing loss to the Steelers yesterday, the rumor mill has been running at a feverish pace. And all talk is focused on Brady Quinn and when he’ll make his regular season debut.

Adding fuel to the fire, the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Ken Dorsey is back in Berea and was at the Browns facility today. They expect him to be resigned tomorrow, which means that a current player will need to be released to make room. Whether that will that be a quarterback, or other position, remains to be seen.

So will Brady start against Cincinnati Sunday? If he doesn’t get the start, will he play at all? We’ll all have to sit back and wait.

There are pros and cons to putting Quinn in the game against Cincy. However, even if he is slated to play, coach Romeo Crennel will likely refuse to confirm the move for as long as he can; it’s the one thing we can count on when it comes to the Browns.

While addressing the media today, who were relentless in their pursuit of the new QB depth chart, Crennel still would not give anything away. He vowed not to announce any personnel changes without speaking to his players first. “For me to make a comment on where I think Brady is or where he is on the depth chart, that’s making a personnel decision, so I’m not going to do that.”

And so, the Cleveland Browns Quarterback saga continues. The next 48 hours will likely be quite eventful.
